Sustainability
Sustainability is a hot topic. We’ve long believed that it shouldn’t just be a trend, but a matter of course. We have always tried to act responsibly and are improving year on year.
The shortest possible transport routes, resource conservation, respect for the labour of suppliers and, above all, supporting the local economy wherever possible – because if the environment is doing well, we’re doing well, too.
For example, we heat our service water with a solar thermal system and produce our own electricity with our CHP unit. Our towelling linen is washed and mangled in our own laundry. We use LED lighting and motion detectors throughout the building. And the tradespeople we need to achieve all this are all local.
We don’t use any small disposable packaging at our breakfast buffet. We separate waste properly and our kitchen uses seasonal products from local suppliers.
This is where our breakfast eggs and game come from: Josenhof Kirnbach
Our trout live here: Lauble
We source our ham, sausage, and meat from here
We source most of our wines from Baden, including from Winery Clauss, Winery Heger, Winery Beringer, Winery Marget and our very own winery “Alde Gott”
